When I look back at the books I wrote in the late 70s and early 80's, I cringe. Not at the content because the stories still appeal to me even now. But I cringe because of the writing style. I'd be embarrassed to have my earlier books in reprint without a chance to rewrite first. I used way too many filters, too many qualifiers, and had I been paid by the adjective back then, I'd be a very wealthy woman now.

Thank you for coming in and giving and agent's perspective.

Who would have guessed that a literary agent could be so savvy??
