I don't post often, but I do visit this site almost daily. LLB often posts tidbits pertaining to the romance genre. Examples that come to mind are a recent situation involving an author whose book was pulled because of plagarism, various trends in the romance publishing industry (midlists and more) and other issues. Frankly, I don't find all of these posts scintillating, but they do pertain to the romance genre and a lot of posters do seem interested.

The point is, that when taken in context, LLB's posting the link to the Idaho Statesman article is not really notable. I took it as just another "FYI, here's something that might interest you," along the same lines as the other posts. Then, when things got hot and heavy, LLB followed up, as she has with other issues. I'm not sure what it is about this topic that has people looking for some nefarious motive, but I think you are off base.
