The Idaho Statesman is a Gannett owned newspaper. It is not a tabloid like the National Enquirer, etc. It is a mainstream, medium sized newspaper. I believe any informed reader (of any media source) needs to evaluate the spin that may be put on the article. The author of the piece may have dove on the more sensational portions of Robin Lee Hatcher's comments, but that doesn't mean they weren't RLH's comments.

Look at her post, she may say her comments were taken out of context, but she does not deny making them. It boils down to sometime during the interview, RHL said some women were "addicted" to the sex in romance novels. Then to continue by saying that she felt like she was supplying alcohol to an alcoholic is still insulting. And was not a necessary comment. If everyone will go into RLH's website and read her posted "diary", you'll see she was worried about her "frank" comments that she made (this long before the article was published).

It is obvious that RLH's mouth went into motion while her brain was disengaged and she's been trying to spin it in her favor ever since.
