I'm not religious and I loved Christy also. But then again, I loved Sebastian from To Have and To Hold and he was definately not the religious type. Just goes to show that a good writer can make you love any character if he or she is talented enough and Gaffney is certainly talented. Let me add I would love more atheist and agnostic characters as well. Also Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, etc. The world is a diverse place and I wish romance reflected this more.
