I do have to confess that whenever the plot permits, I try to get my characters married off before they "do the deed". But not every plot permits that. But even that ends up being a moral lesson because the hero's first thought is usually, "Hmmmm...this love without commitment thing isn't going to work. I need to marry this woman and spend the rest of my life with her."
