The internet is loaded with information about this. Granted it's still a study in progress but we also start to delve into whether romance is considered pornography or not. I'd rather not go there. :-)

Not all women out there are addicted or should I say have a compulsive disorder to romance novels. If you are someone that spends money you don't have to buy your books, you neglect your family or job, or constantly survive on two hours of sleep because you jump from book to book; I would say there's a problem. There are women out there like this. As I said earlier the same goes for internet use etc. Just because there are no 'studies' or 'articles' from the medical community doesn't make it not true. People could be addicted to the Home Shopping Network for cryin' out loud. And I say all this with deepest affection for the romance community. I love reading romance and actually that's all I read.
