AAR Aid 2007, benefiting Hands On New Orleans, a highly rated charitable organization dedicated to facilitating volunteerism in the city, has ended. As a result of the generosity of those who donated books (ARCs, "boxed sets", out of print books), and their time and expertise - ie, editors and authors who donated partial manuscript critiques - as well as the generosity of those who bid and won these wonderful items, we raised approximately $4,500 in just ten days. We will have a full accounting shortly, as soon as Paypal and eBay's Mission Fish fees are deducted.

Special Three-Day Erika Tsang Critique Auction Began Tuesday...ends Friday!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the auction for a critique by Avon Senior Editor Erika Tsang was canceled by ebay and, as a result, we are unable to award the critique to anyone who bid.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that you’ve got yet another chance at winning a critique from a Senior Editor at the undisputed leader in romance publishing.

Publisher of mega-successful authors ranging from Julia Quinn to Rachel Gibson, Avon senior editor Erika Tsang will critique the first 30 pages of your manuscript. Ms. Tsang joined Avon Books in 2002 with the intent of expanding the historical romance list. In the five years since, Ms. Tsang’s list has expanded to include paranormals, romantic suspense, contemporary, and multicultural romance. She works with bestselling authors Suzanne Enoch, Laura Lee Guhrke, Lynsay Sands, and Beverly Jenkins, just to name a few. She is currently seeking to acquire all sub genres of romance. Her criteria are that the story has a creative concept and the hero be fashioned after either Harrison Ford or Ewan MacGregor.
