Tablet PC in lieu of ereader?

Thought I'd update on my decision. After buying the Nook Color and reviewing many posts and articles on how to root it so I could read my Kindle library on it, I had a smack myself in the head moment -- as in, why did a buy what is essentially an android tablet that I have to alter in order to allow it to perform the function I most want?

I returned the Nook and for less than $100 more bought a 7" samsung galaxy tablet which comes with the Kindle app already downloaded, plus I can get all different reader apps on it. It's just the right size, same as the Nook, and very comfortable to read. Thanks for all the help.

Congratulations on the purchase! Thanks for posting- I was curious about what you had chosen. I would be interested to hear how you like the features of it as I don't know anyone who has one yet.

If Android offers it I highly recommend the Overdrive app. You can get library books with just a couple of clicks. I use it and the Kindle app on my iPad for all my reading.

Hope you're having fun with it. I love my iPad. I would recommend a tablet to anyone. They do so much and reading is a joy on it.
