We're always complaining about ugly romance novel covers but has anyone been over to Samhain Publishing lately? They've had some really nice covers to their e-books. Here are a couple of my favorite examples:
Wish we saw more covers like that in the stores. |

Those are lovely. Lyrical has some gorgeous covers too.

You're right just taking a quick glance at Lyrical's website and they have some attractive covers too. Why in the world don't mainstream publishers have prettier covers? Is there some sort of marketing research behind the traditional windswept, shirtless man, heaving bosom covers? I suppose that way the bookstore never has to look at genre of the book before shelving it. Still I think covers like this would really catch my eye at the bookstore. |
