The day of the move has finally arrived so please continue your conversations at these our new boards and update your bookmarks. We have tried very hard to make this transition as easy as possible with no new registering and all the old threads retained.
We are leaving the old boards up temporarily in case we need to access this information in the short term. All threads have, however, been locked. Readers who have posted in threads after 1 PM on Monday, June 29th may have to repost at the new location. Otherwise, all threads should be updated and intact here.
Do let us know if you experience any problems with this. Thanks for your patience and enjoy the new boards.

Hi, I've tried to reply to a few posts in the "lets talk about romance" forum but they are all locked...is this just while maintenance is being performed or are some of the topics locked intentionally?

The "drop down" links from the Message Boards at the top of the home page still point to the old (now non-existent) forums. The links from the bottom right of the page correctly point to the new ones.

PatW - I contacted our web designer to update the drop down menus. I did that last night as soon as we moved, but unfortunately, I'm unable to do more than ask them to update the links. Hopefully they will and soon.

I was constantly confused by the term "bookmarks" too, until I finally learned that it's just a synonym for "favorites." Does that help you as much as it helped me?

I was constantly confused by the term "bookmarks" too, until I finally learned that it's just a synonym for "favorites." Does that help you as much as it helped me?

It's helped me. I didn't know a bookmark was the same as "favorites" either. Since everytime I type in likesbooks.com I get the old board, I used the link I got from my email from Lynn when I asked "why oh why can't I get to the message board" and she sent me a link. Otherwise, I'd be lost. I'm going to use my new "favorites" link for now at least. I wonder if in the future at some point if I type in likesbooks.com, will the new site come up? |

i have being trying to get to the book review section of the board. i input the authors last name and it will not go. i am a new member and i have redone my bookmark and it still will not go. HELP  |

I know Rachel is working on a number of issues at the moment. Changes such as this never seem to go as smoothly as planned. The search issue is being worked on as we speak. You may see a few other quirks while this all works itself out and we thank everyone for their patience and support.

You may want to try again now. I just followed the links and they did work. But, there have been several times today that something didn't work quite right and I waited a few minutes and tried again and it worked.
I think we may continue to see such things for a bit. None of us know how long but we are hopeful it will work itself out shortly.
larsonkoala2 and kmredd - thank you for letting us know about the difficulties you are experiencing. We need to know these things and understand your frustration when you are unable to access information - especially if you are new. It sounds like a broken record but we are ever so sincere - we really do appreciate your patience during this transition.

My problem is, the pages are loading so slowly I'm getting timed out of everything. I've tried to post a few times today, but this is the first I've been able to get this far without getting timed out.
And yes, the page where you can power search reviews by author or whatever doesn't appear to be working at the moment.
I guess we're all getting a mini-vacation from AAR while this transfer is ironed out. |
