The downside of watching Comedy Central are the "Girls Gone Wild" commercials. They are truly disgusting. Is writing to Comedy Central's muckety-mucks, while watching a Chris Rock stand-up act, and saying you are appalled by the "Girls Gone Wild" commercials an oxymoron or hypocritical or something?
Still, I'd like to get rid of those damn-assed, sleazy porno commercials. |

| As a mother, I am appalled by these girls showing their breasts and whatever else to the world. They have every right to do it but I just wonder about their self-esteem. If you feel good about yourself and like who you are why do you have to behave in such a way that seems degrading? Most of the time they are tipsy so they've been drinking quite a bit which bothers me. Why do they (though to be fair it's not just young people) need to fortify themselves with alcohol? |

| Some of the articles I've read about this have horrified me--about how a lot of these girls are obviously intoxicated to the point of incoherence, and are manipulated/talked into doing this sort of thing. Now I'm not saying that's always true, or that it's all Evil Men, Victim Women here, but most of the girls are very young, and it seems extremely exploitative. I'm not anti-pornography though I feel everyone involved should realise what they're getting into, and in this sort of thing I really don't, so it makes me highly uncomfortable. |
