LOL - Doesn't it do a fine convincing job. You have a young Roarke, a hoodlum looking Roarke, a casual Roarke and a well dressed Roarke. You have the brilliant blue eyes and the long hair. And all gorgeous - just like well....Roarke. |

I'm sorry, but I see his picture and all I can think of is this: http://whatthecrap.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/dude.jpg

The face is good, the hair not quite right to me. Should be darker and wavier.
Sandra Bullock as Peabody? She doesn't seem... pressed enough. Too ditzy. _________________ "I say, don't read the classics -- try to discover your own classics; every life has its own." -- Rudolf Flesch, _How to Make Sense_ |

Someone went to a lot of time and trouble to cast this video of IN DEATH.
I thought it was excellent even tho I may not agree with all the castings...

Thanks, roadrunner. That was a really interesting clip. Helps me imagine just what a movie/series might look like. _________________ LinnieGayl |

Wow! Mega impressed with the video though I just don't picture Ashley Judd as Eve. Jackman could work as Roarke but then Jackman could work as anyone. I loved who they choose for Trueheart, Feeney and Leonardo. I am not so sure about Peabody but Mavis was good. Nadine was great and they had Baxter! I love him, hope we see more of him. Oh, and Summerset is awesome! That is how I will picture him from now on.
We were missing Morris and the other guy from a lab -- the one who always has to be bribed and that Eve calls "D**khead".

I've only just started the In Death series (thanks to audiobooks) but I think Courtney Cox or Lena Headey would make a good Eve. Courtney Cox is probably a little too old now, but she's got the thin build and somewhat hard features that I imagine for Eve. I haven't come up with my perfect Roarke yet, so right now Hugh Jackman will have to do for me.

sorry to be late to the game. But I was reading a magazine a few months ago and thought that Gerald Butler may be a good choice for Roarke. Though he's Scottish instead of Irish, he does have that continental-european feel and the long wavy hair. we may have to see him in a suit to see how Roarke-able he is.
Eve's always been a hard one. whoever said, Lena Headley is on the right track. Her Sarah Conner character is very much like Eve. Tough but vulnerable. |

The other night I saw Transporter 2 for the first time. There's a character in that movie, Lola, played by Kate Nauta. I had the idea that with some cosmetic overhauls, she could be a good Eve. (No chin-dent, though.)

It's tough to find pictures of her out on the web. Most of them (that I found) are from Transporter 2 and Lola's look is very specific. But trying to look past the bleached hair and the raccoon eyes, I think she could work.

Here is a different picture of her with a much softer look. Again, the cosmetics would need to be overhauled -- Eve's short crop of doe-brown hair and some colored contacts -- but yeah, I think she could do for Eve. And her role as Lola proved she can kick some ass. Hoo-boy! |

This pic works for me from Highlander:Endgame. Lisa Barbuscia (appears she hasn't worked much since this film) in contemporary costume had the short, choppy hair, the long and lean body, and the big doe eyes. Adrian Paul could play anyone and I'd watch but I can definitely see him as Roarke.

Niftybergin, your girl is a possible and looks tough enough. The freckles would require mass quantities of coverup, though. _________________ Diana |

| I picture Hilary Swank as Eve. I used to picture Feeney as that actor who died a few years ago ... I can't think of his name, but he was a regular character on West Wing when he died, and he was on LA Law years and years ago ... his name will come to me. Roark ... ah, I've never, either IRL or on video or in a photograph, any man who would do justice to my mental picture of Roark. Sigh. |
