I usually read European historicals but I'm deep into Deadwood right now and would like to read some frontier type stories similar to it, but romancier.
Thanks in advance! _________________ Justin managed to look superior and bored and disbelieving all at once. No mean feat for a man who'd just fallen from a tree. |

Ian McShane is great in Deadwood, isn't he?
My favorite author of historical western romance is Ellen O'Connell.
Some other authors you might try: Maggie Osborne, Lorraine Heath, Kaki Warner, Elaine Levine, and Alexis Harrington.
If you want to step outside of pure romance, Lonesome Dove is very good. |

I loved Deadwood too and was so sad when it was over!
Some of my favorites :
I agree with Eggletina- ANYTHING by Ellen O'Connell
Never Love a Lawman - Jo Goodman
Texas Destiny - Lorraine Heath
And if you want something a little ( a lot?) raunchier - try Caine's Reckoning by Sara McCarty (the rest of the books in that series fell flat for me, but that first one....hoo boy!) |

Fair Is The Rose by Meagan McKinney is my gold star standard for Western romances (well, the types I like to read). |

| Thought of another one I enjoyed: Under the Desert Moon by Marsha Canham. I actually wish she'd try her hand at more Westerns. |
