I have been trying to find this book for years now; I just can't seem to find it. So I was hoping maybe someone else has read it and remembers what it is called or the author.

The scene I remember: The heroine is in a dungeon/prison and she somehow ends up tied to the hero. When the hero cuts through the rope he cuts both of their arms which cause their bloody wrists to rub together. In the heroines culture that means they are now married.

Later on I remember a scene with the hero and the heroine's father telling the hero that he needs to learn how to catch dishes. If the wife throws a dish and he does not catch it and it breaks it means they are no longer married (like a divorce).

That's all I can remember about this book, yet I have been wanting to re-read it for years. I just can't seem to find it.

Any help would be much appreciated!
