If you like Garwood, you might enjoy Maya Banks's new Highlander series. _________________ "I say, don't read the classics -- try to discover your own classics; every life has its own." -- Rudolf Flesch, _How to Make Sense_ |

Castaway Dreams got an A review here. It has funny dialogue and is a historical. The h and H get shipwrecked.
I would also recommend Tessa Dare's A Week to Be Wicked. It got a B+ review here and is a road romance. |

Lisa Kleypas. I had knee surgery in March and while I was recovering I read my first Lisa Kleypas book Secrets of a Summer Night (Book 1). I fell in love with this author and I read ALL of her historical romances that month. LOVED them. _________________ http://princessinnorway.blogspot.com/ |

Loved and read all of lisa kleypass, Teresa Dare -the Other Guy’s Bride is a favorite too.
Mark – great recommendations many of them were sadly not available for the kindle and I have read most. I was wondering if you have a favorite from Victoria Alexander’s three When we Meet again, What a lady wants and the perfect wife – I have read the others? Magic flutes sounds very interesting too.
I am going to choose some of the Karen Raney books, castaway dreams, Noble Destiny, dangerous debutante and to cach a highlander – this will be a good mix.
Mark SKL – I have read all but the Karen raney books – you listed many of my favorites.
If anyone has more I probably need about 5 more or so. Thank you for your help. Its very nice to have a lead on authors I have not tried before. _________________ I love happy endings |

| The Perfect Wife is standalone and the others are part of a long series, so TPW is probably better to try in isolation. |

I've read and enjoyed many of the same authors as you.
Julia Quinn would be a great fit for you. Her Bridgerton Series would keep you busy for most of your vacation and has lots of great funny dialogue.
Mary Balogh: I find her books to be solid but generally not extraordinary. I always enjoy reading them but they tend not to stick in my mind for long afterwards. One of her best is Slightly Dangerous which is actually the last book in a series. You can read it without reading the previous books but the payoff is better if you've read the rest of the series, unfortunately the rest of the series isn't nearly as good.
Jacquie D'Alessandro's books are pretty good and I think many of them are on sale on Amazon right now. The series that starts with Who Will Take This Man is a good one to start with.
Elizabeth Hoyt: Her books tend to have more of a serious feel to them but are all really good.
Eloisa James: Overall I like her but there's usually at least one book in each of her series that falls way short for me which gets annoying. My biggest issue is that a number of her books involve cheating and the offending partner never really grovels to my satisfaction.
Nicole Jordan's Courtship series.
Stephanie Lauren's Cynster series. The first several books are great but it starts to go down hill and get pretty repetitive as it went further on. This is one of those series that the author just keeps adding to because it's sold well in the past even though it should have ended a long time ago. |

I just finished Danelle Harmon's de Montforte series which was excellent. There is a discussion of this on the other forum. There are 4 books in the series: The Wild One, The Beloved One, The Defiant One, and The Wicked One. GREAT SERIES!
I really enjoy Tessa Dare's books. She has several 3 book series. Her latest is the Spindle Cove series. A Week To Be Wicked is the most recent and it was excellent.
Aren't Kindles great for vacations? So much reading in just that little device! Have a great vacation. _________________ So many books; so little time!
