Eagerly Awaiting in July

If you enjoy historical romance, July looks like it’s going to be a big month! Several favorite authors have releases this month, with new books coming from Sherry Thomas, Loretta Chase, Carrie Lofty, and Elizabeth Hoyt, among others. I can’t wait to have a few days off work to sink into some of these. And fans of other subgenres have plenty to make them happy as well, with quite a few contemporary, paranormal and other releases hitting shelves and e-readers just in time to kick off vacation season. What do you want to read this summer?

  1. Elizabeth Elliott “The Dark Knight” I really hope it comes out 6/26/12

  2. I can’t believe I missed Pamela Clare’s DEFIANT! I have eagerly anticipated that one for a very long time now.

  3. I can’t wait for The Great Escape by Susan Elizabeth Phillips! I’m surprised it didn’t make your list.

  4. Wow, I’m in for THE GREAT ESCAPE as well. July will be a very good month for me.

  5. I’ve pre-ordered The Great Escape. Can’t wait for it!

Also in July that I am looking forward to are:
    The Cutting Edge, Linda Howard
    Criminal, Karen Slaughter
    Fireproof, Alex Kava
Odd Apocalpse-Dean Koontz (latest in the Odd Thomas series)
Night Fobidden, Joss Ware (another I have pre-ordered already!!)

S/B Night Forbidden by Joss Ware.

  6. Love Stacia Kane’s Downside series, so will definitely be reading that one when it comes out. Also planning on reading the new ones by Pamela Clare and Sherry Thomas at some point.

  7. Aside from my must-reads in Chase and Thomas, I am most looking forward to Susan Elizabeth Phillips _The Great Escape_ and Elizabeth Elliot’s _The Dark Knight_. Also, I have not ever read Carrie Lofty but have heard good things and so I’ll be very interested in a review of her new novel.

  8. SEP has long been a favorite of mine, but I haven’t heard good buzz on The Great Escape. Her last two books have been disappointing to me and it looks like it’s going to be three.

  9. Oh, that’s a shame about the new SEP. Thanks for the heads up; I’ll probably wait now for some reviews, esp. since it’s hardback.
