Win an Audio Book Edition of Delicious by Sherry Thomas (Contest Now Closed)

Ready to loose yourself in the Delicious prose of Sherry Thomas?

Thanks to the author’s generosity, we’ve got two copies of Sherry’s new audio book edition of Delicious to give away. It retails for $44.95.

Here’s the blurb:

“In a starred review, Publishers Weekly praised Sherry Thomas for her ‘steamy and smart’ prose featuring ‘deft plotting and sparkling characters.’ Delicious presents Verity Durant, an irresistible woman of a more elegant age. Verity is renowned from London to Paris for her succulent cuisine—and for her rapacious carnal appetite. And she’s determined to tempt prim and proper politician Stuart Somerset with forbidden fruits he’s never tasted.”

And here’s what Sherry herself has to say about the audio edition:

“The audio version of Delicious from Recorded Books is, well, delicious. :-) Please forgive Sherry as she preens a little, but Virginia Leishman, the narrator for this recording, with her marvelously precise British accent, makes Sherry’s prose sound so good! It comes in a gorgeous little box with 10 CDs, total running time at 12 hours, and track breaks every scene. Sure to be a cool gift for the audio book lover in your life.”

Well, heck, I wish I was eligible. I’m not, but unless you review for another blog or site, you are. All you’ve got to do to enter for your chance to win is post in the comments section of this blog by Saturday, April 4 at 11:59 pm eastern time. Winners will be selected at random and posted here at the blog on Sunday morning.

Good luck!

  1. Oh boy, Thanks Sherry!!! I’d love to win that audio book. I just started listening to them last year in the car, and I am not missing the radio!

  2. Oh, Sherry,
What a wonderful prize! I received an email just yesterday from RBI about their recording of Delicious. I drooled then.
We live in a dead zone between Orlando and Jacksonville, FL, as far as radio reception goes. We always listen to recorded books in the car.
I thought Private Arrangements was a stunning debut novel. You are a terrific writer.

  3. Please don’t enter me in the contest (since I can’t seem to “do” romance on audio) – but I wanted to chime in that Recorded Books has a reputation for doing wonderful audio productions. I’ve never listened to a “bad” one from them, and they have some of the best narrators in the business.

  4. I listen to an audio book whenever possible in lieu of reading the book. Even though I am still driving a car which uses cassette tapes I will happily bring along a “boom box” in order to listen to CD’s.

Thanks, Sherry, for providing these prizes.

  5. I’ve never tried one , but I would love to start with Delicious. One of my fav’s of 2008.

  6. Virginia Leishman is one of my favorite readers at RB. Please enter me for this contest.

  7. I love Sherry Thomas’ books. My daily commute in LA traffic takes 1.5 hrs (one way!) so I would love to listen to this book along the way :)

  8. What a wonderful prize! I just bought another book by Sherry Thomas – a new author for me. I’ve never listened to an audiobook before either.

  9. I’ve never done the audio book thing, but where better to start than with the talented Ms Thomas?

  10. A Sherry Thomas audio book! YAY!!!! I loooove audio books even though I’ve only listened to a couple, they are the coolest! Anyway, please draw my name..pretty, pretty please? I’ll be crossing my fingers…

  11. Hi.
I find I like to read the book first. I’m not an auditory learner and miss too much when I listen while driving. Cassettes were good in that if you missed something, you could just rewind and hear it again. Now I listen to a lot of MP3′s and each track is about 45 minutes long – no more going back to hear a phrase again.
Recorded books are fun to listen to and see what interpretation the narrator presents. Virginia Leishman is a good narrator. The other big thing is to get unabridged books and hear the writer’s exact words.
