Tessa Dare releases her latest and Harper Collins offers a give-a-way

91clwiwPslL._SL1500_Tessa Dare, a perennial favorite here at AAR, releases her latest novel, Romancing the Duke, today. Here’s the blurb:

As the daughter of a famed author, Isolde Ophelia Goodnight grew up on tales of brave knights and fair maidens. She never doubted romance would be in her future, too. The storybooks offered endless possibilities.

And as she grew older, Izzy crossed them off. One by one by one.

Ugly duckling turned swan?
Abducted by handsome highwayman?
Rescued from drudgery by charming prince?
No, no, and… Heh.

Now Izzy’s given up yearning for romance. She’ll settle for a roof over her head. What fairy tales are left over for an impoverished twenty-six year-old woman who’s never even been kissed?

This one.

Harper Collins is running a give-a-way for romance readers in celebration of the book. Here’s the skinny:

  5. Cynthia Diaz says:

Can’t wait to read the book! Anyway, my husband and I decided to make a patio in the backyard on our own. It ended up being very uneven with dips and valleys so we had to call in an expert to fix it! We are always starting projects but end up calling in someone to fix them.

I haven’t read Tessa Dare yet, but I keep meaning to give her a try. Any suggestions on where to start?

I bought my first house last year, so I have lots of future home improvement projects!! I’m enjoying slowly changing things around to exactly the way I want them.

  11. Tracy says:

We added a screened porch. Huge mosquito’s here in the south. And I would love to replace carpet in bedrooms with hard wood, but that’s scary. Love Tessa Dare and can’t wait for this new book, I’ve read some real stinkers recently and need my faith restored. ;)

All of it! Where do I start?

Our castle kitchen could definitely use an update.

  14. LenoreJ says:

Moved into a new house with huge picture windows facing the street. Decided I was going to make the curtains even though I hadn’t seen anything since junior high! We had sheets of rice paper pinned to the windows for two years, but I did it!

  15. Lily says:

It might be time to pick up the paint brush again and give my bathroom a pick me up!

“Ever had a “castle” crisis of your own? What’s the best home improvement project you’ve done, or what would you like to do?”

I’m best at connecting things (phones, TVs, DVDs, etc.) I’d love to upgrade my kitchen tools, and a BB&B giftcard would be great for that!

I can’t wait to see what improvements Izzy makes in her new castle … and in the lord who comes with it! ;-)

  21. Karen says:

  26. MaryC says:

    Cast iron cookware.

  27. Well, first I’d like to buy the book – which is probably not sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond. LOL! BUT that’s one of my favorite stores! Let’s see, I could buy a bath pillow to lean against while reading the book in a hot bath. Or I could get some new cookware and read while I’m waiting for a fabulous dinner to cook. Or…gosh, the possibilities are endless! LOL!

  28. KC says:

I’d like to have a screened-in porch and new deck area with a fire pit. That’s probably not going to happen at this house, so I’ll settle for new interior paint. :) Thanks for the opportunity!

  29. Elaine C. says:

In Michigan we finished a huge part of the basement with cupboards on the lower part and bookshelves above to the ceiling. Walls, carpeting, overhead lights, a table, a comfortable couch, and reading lights. It was great! . :-)

  30. Melissa says:

I am preparing to make my dreary, somewhat scary, basement into a happy place where I can hide from my cares and children.

My job for the next two years will be spent traveling in Africa and living out of a few suitcases . I want to get some things that will fit in them and make my temporary castles more homey and comfortable. Comfy pillow cases, filtered water bottle, french press coffee maker, large unbreakable coffee mug, things like that.

  36. Lesley says:

I’m in the middle of cleaning stuff out of my house and sprucing things up. This gift card would come in handy!
