I was with a friend Monday and we went to a shop for outside fountains, and all of a sudden I notice that they are filling the place with books. Three or four years ago, the owners of a plant outlet bought one of our USB. When I started talking to the woman I discovered they moved the books into the fountain store to save rent. At one time we had four USB in our town of 60,000 or so and this now is the last one. She said that UBS are going to be a thing of the past, and I have to admit it probably has been two years or so since I visited the store. She said she loves books, and had a child with a learning disability and they spent hours reading. She just can't stand the thought of letting it go.

I had to admit I don't like to have a TBR pile. It is like having ironing in the basket that you know you should do, but you just want to do other things(grin) And if I don't get to books within a certain period of time I usually never read them. I guess short attention span.

Oh, Leigh - you have no idea! I've spent my entire life living in college towns where the UBS and library sale options are plentiful and cheap. I have a TBR of somewhat shameful size and yes, this book was sitting in it from 2009 until now. I always read my review books right away, but otherwise I pick things according to my mood rather than how long I've had the book.

I just have to ask - how big is your TBR pile? You said this book is from 2009. Have you had it since then?
