I just finished a great one in Short Straw Bride by Karen Witemeyer. It had sort of a seven brides for seven brothers feel to me and was lots of fun.

Heck, I’m still working through her backlist of secular historicals, although I only have a small handful left unread :)

I like the idea of Irene’s character. You’re right – characters do tend to run more conservative in inspirationals, so it’s nice to see St. John included a rabble-rouser in this one.
