You know, to be honest, I just assumed it was modern day, until I started thinking about war brides and the department store that is no longer there. But there was something in there that made me think it was more current than the 60s. I’ll have to skim back through and let you know when I find it.

Brenda: I enjoyed hearing the background for Bones character development and yes it made me want to listen again, especially to the first two which are my favorites although I still enjoy the rest. I hear more nuances to the characters and emotion each time.@Lea My favorite part of the third book is Vlad! He’s going to be getting a spin off series sometime soon and I’m hoping Tavia is tagged to narrate??@Xe Your very welcome, AB will be a comfort listen for me. What was your take on a time setting? My guess was mid to late 1960’s with the few clues given.Tantor e-mailed me that my pre order of On Thin Ice was shipped on Friday Woo Hoo! With media mail I’ll probably receive it on the on sale date but that’s okay, especially if Audible is slow in getting it up.I’m considering Feehan’s Water Bound when it comes out on CD as my Audible copy has a lot of annoying production issues that I would like to have smoothed out.I’m thinking Animal Attraction is up next after Melinda’s review – I could use some well delivered humor and passion.

Okay, I’m watching for Vlad now. You know how I love these little hints!

Bones’ voice did take a bit of getting used to, not for the accent, but because Bones’ voice isn’t very deep. But, his character shines through and that is HIS voice for me now. Just wait til you listen to Ch.32!!

@lea. I’m looking forward to listening to Rainshadow Road. I think Tanya Eby is a great narrator. I really liked her narration in Nora Roberts’ The Search.
