Tee, I do know that anytime I Ms. Carr has a new release out, her books go to the top of reading pile. I am glad that you enjoyed it. I am a little behind in my reading right now, but I do think I will read it again soon and see if I still feel the same way.

PatH - post your thoughts after reading it. And you will have something good to read after the rush of the holidays. You can just put your feet up and relax with a good book.

SHZ I agree that the stories with out the women popping out babies are a lot better. For a while it seemed like everyone was pregnant and hiding it from the father. Like you I was pleased about Brie being in the story.

I really enjoyed this one, but thought the next one - Redwood Bend - was better.

Unlike most readers I didn't enjoy the initial books in the series very much. Too much childbirth and too many awful female leads - like Mel.

The more self-contained stories of the last two years have been much stronger.

I loved Walt's appearances in these new books. I still think he's my favourite Robyn Carr hero.

Both of you are so lucky to get to read this one early! (Is my envy showing?) I've got it on pre-buy, so I'll get it a couple of days after Christmas on my Kindle. Can't wait! Thanks for the Pandora's box!

Looks as though I enjoyed the book more than either of you, since I already gave it a top rating for 2012 books. I can't believe this is the 17th book in the series and I commend Carr for giving us some good novels. As is to be expected, some along the way were not as great as others. Of all the AAR reviewers, I probably relate more to both of your tastes in reading, although not 100 percent. So, it was interesting to hear your thoughts regarding Hidden Summit.
