Great, I think, actually. Don’t know what kind of historicals you like, but Sherry Thomas and Duran are shining lights. As for Anna Campbell, I have to admit, I’m not a fan of her books either. She’s a very different kind of writer than Duran and Thomas.

As for being “forced” to read something, I blogged recently about this. There is no Official Approved Romance Syllabus. Life is too short to read books you’re not interested in.

I feel like I was forced to read Anna Campbell a year ago and while Untouched had good writing, the story bored me to years.

I also think that Louisa Edwards’ prose is pretty awful, but I would have liked to see Julie James. I hope Victoria Dahl’s Lead Me On is nominated for next year.
