AAR & Amazon

Amazon/US
Amazon/UK
In Association with Amazon.co.uk
For some years now AAR has been associated with Amazon - our affiliations with Amazon U.S., U.K., and Canada, along with advertising revenues fund the site. Our Amazon affiliations do not mean that the book reviews presented here are unprofessional or biased. If you're at all familiar with our reviews, you know we could make a lot more money if only we gave better grades more frequently, but our main commitment is to you, the reader. Please note that if we have a price listed at the top of a review, it may not be the same price you will be charged by Amazon.

We receive a commission from Amazon/US and Amazon/UK for every new item ordered (not just books) when you start your shopping session via one of our links and now also receive a small referral fee for third-party sales made via Amazon/US, which is meaningful if you buy used books or other auction items via Amazon.

With the advent of the Amazon Kindle, AAR will earn a commission for the device, and for books meant to be read on the device, if you use the link to your right (another can be found on our home page).

You can help fund AAR if you start a shopping session at Amazon from the links to your right or via general links on several pages at AAR. We potentially earn more when you order using an item-specific link, such as the ones you encounter, like this one below, at the end of most of our reviews:

Order this book from Amazon Books

Because we know you order more items than those for which we provide specific links, we'd like to teach you how to create your own item-specific links. It's not at all difficult and if you go the extra step it really impacts our earnings.

Every item offered via Amazon, whether in the U.S. or the U.K., is assigned an ASIN number, which is a ten digit number - for books in the U.S. (and perhaps elsewhere too), the ASIN is the ISBN.

This table depicts ASIN-changeable item-specific links for all three Amazon affiliations
