1970's FM GoldI am an aficionado of 1970’s songs. I have over a thousand 70’s hits in my iTunes folder, almost all of which I can sing at a moment’s notice. (This talent does NOT endear me to my family.) I spent the last few years of high school–class of 1979–in South Florida listening to WSHE and WHYI and the occasional cassette tape, driving along to a blend of pop, rock, soul, disco and bizarre. (What else would you call Meatloaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light?) Some songs I can’t stand to hear today–anything from Hotel California makes me feel queasy–but many of them I still love.

Every few years I make a playlist called 70’s FM Gold. I include the good and the bad and the crazy.  I just finished making my current playlist and thought I’d share a sampling. I think of these songs as part of the soundtrack of my life.
