Earworm of the day: Into the Great Wide Open by Tom Petty

YouTube Preview ImageRecently I asked a group of seventeen-year-olds whether any of them had ever heard of  Tom Petty. They just stared at me. Later my husband (who’s a huge fan) informed me that Tom Petty hadn’t had a radio hit since the ’90s, so there was little wonder about the teenagers’ lack of interest. Anyway, I borrowed my husband best-of-Tom-Petty CD and started listening. I enjoy Into the Great Wide Open particularly, so here it is.

What music do you like to listen to that modern teenagers have never heard of?

    One of my favorite songs is by the Traveling Wilbury which includes Tom Petty, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison


    I am sure that there are tons of music that I know that they don’t
