This is one of the songs about which I can’t really explain why they stick to my brain the way they do. It’s incredibly ’80s in the almost negligent way it’s presented. I still haven’t figured out what it’s about. I don’t know any other songs by Tanita Tikaram.
But here it goes: When I’m feeling moody and rather stressed, this song often jumps into my head. It’s a kind of you-must-contain-yourself-now-so-that-you-can-get-over-the-next-few-hours/days music. So it’s immensely useful, even if I don’t understand it!
Is there a song that comes to you when you feel moody and stressed? Do you like Twist in my Sobriety?
