OMG!! LinnieGayl!! My question is what NOT to like about rhubarb?? Have you ever had strawberry and rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream? How about strawberry and rhubarb freezer jam? There's also rhubarb sauce over ice cream. We can grow rhubarb in our backyard here in Washington state. Try it. I'm sure you'll like it.

I am lucky, Missie. It's a very nice market. Maybe I'll look for some recipes for rhubarb.

How lucky are you to live near a nice Farmer's Market! We have a couple of small ones near us, but they're not very impressive, at least not from what I've heard.

Rhubarb is very much an acquired taste. My mom likes it, but I'm not overly fond of it. It's usually combined with other fruits (like strawberries) and used in sweet dishes, such as pies, fruit spreads, etc.

Scored some swiss chard and asparagus at the market this morning, so didn't have to resort to rhubarb :) Can't wait to make them tonight. The place was packed with lots of people selling flowers and seedlings for various veggies and herbs. Lots and lots of spinach as well.

Not a fan of rhubarb. Bought a slice of what I thought was cherry pie years ago at the cafe at the zoo. It was rhubarb. Thankfully my dad was more than happy to eat it. :)

There is a farmer's market not too far from my usual grocery store that has lots of homemade cheeses, fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, etc. etc. But gosh, the prices are expensive! And I always seem to walk by when they are still setting up and not selling.
