Whenever we travel, I always visit the local farmer's market. While we were in New York recently, I took time out to go to the farmer's market at Union Square. I didn't buy anything, but looked instead. There were things there, I'd never seen before and I love that. Our local farmer's market is good. We're lucky enough here that it stays open all year really. The selection isn't as good in the deep winter months, but things start ramping up again in March and stays pretty decent until Thanksgiving. The Dekalb Farmer's market in Atlanta is the best that I've every been to. I think my favorite things to buy are the berries and the watermelon when it first comes into season. They are always the best tasting tomatoes I get anywhere. I also love berry season, which we're quickly heading into.
