I used to buy movie books that gave cast information for shows and used them to remind myself about where I'd seen an actor/actress before. Now I let IMDB do the remembering for me. I can also find out whether a series has been dropped or not via IMDB, so it's my go-to place for any movie/TV information. Life on Mars was actually very good, though also short-lived, and his acting was part of the reason. If I've heard of a new author's book, I'll go to the website to check out the excerpt, if one is provided. Some authors provide photos or links to places that inspired their books, and I definitely appreciate that information.
